Eileen Ashton joined CEA in 2009 and currently spearheads the strategic research and outreach across all sectors, but with a particular focus on conservation-based organizations.
Prior to joining CEA, Eileen was a project manager for an environmental consulting firm and specialized in researching and documenting historic land use relative to hazardous materials storage, handling, and disposal, both for due diligence and investigatory purposes. She also worked as a carbon offsets broker and assisted with the first trade of offset credits in the Bay Area. Before making a career switch to the environmental sector, Eileen spent four years in Hollywood creating sets and special effects for stage and television productions.
Eileen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, in environmental science from San Jose State University with additional coursework in communications from California State University, Chico. She recently completed “Assessing Your Organization (AYO)” training through the Land Trust Alliance to assist land trusts with the accreditation process.
Outside the office, Eileen enjoys camping in her teardrop trailer, houseboating, and hiking, especially when joined by her husband and two daughters.
