Tamara has led leadership transitions and supported organizational growth for foundations, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations through her work at CEA since 2019.
She brings over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors, including program and advocacy leadership roles focused on climate policy, active transportation, electoral campaigns, and other environmental and public interest issues. She is an experienced fundraiser and coalition builder, having led teams and initiatives at top-tier NGOs. Earlier in her career, she served as a Legal Fellow at the Sierra Club, where she worked on litigation under the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act, and at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she focused on toxics enforcement. She began her career as a Green Corps Advocacy Fellow.
Tamara holds undergraduate degrees in Spanish, Environmental Studies, History, and Political Science from the University of Missouri and earned her JD with a specialization in Energy and Environmental Law from the George Washington University.
