Biography
Sydney Sanders joined CEA Consulting in 2016 and is currently a Senior Associate supporting the Philanthropic Services practice. She focuses her work at the ocean-climate intersection, and her expertise includes project management, strategy development, conservation markets initiatives, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning programs. Some of her recent clients are the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, and the Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance. Currently, Sydney is also the Acting Manager of Operations and Impact for Turn Forward, a new, independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing an ambitious vision for American offshore wind power.
Earlier in her career at CEA, Sydney provided operational and candidate vetting support for the Climate Breakthrough Project. Sydney also is most proud of her work as the lead project manager for the 2020 Global Review of Fishery Improvement Projects, a global landscape assessment in which she managed a team, conducted dozens of interviews with key informants, and co-led site visits in three countries.
Sydney holds a BA, magna cum laude, in environmental policy from Middlebury College.
