Megna Patel



Megna Patel is a Research Associate supporting the Environmental Policy & Advocacy group at CEA. Megna joined CEA in 2019 and brings her experience in program management, research, and communications to support a range of clients including Environmental Defense Fund and California Council for Environmental and Economic Balance.

Prior to joining CEA, Megna completed a fellowship with University of California Office of the President where she created and directed a 6-month student ambassadors program for professional skill building and leadership in climate action.

Megna graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Environmental Engineering. At UCLA, she led her senior capstone team in researching the distribution of stormwater pollution sources in the Los Cerritos Channel Watershed. She also participated in a study abroad program in Costa Rica where she studied tropical biology and researched local water quality issues.

In her spare time, Megna enjoys running, playing volleyball on the beach, and reading classic novels.
