Maximilian Bucher is a Research Associate supporting the Philanthropy practice at CEA. Maximilian brings his experience in research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, project management and evaluation to support projects for the Moore Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and Google X.
Prior to joining CEA, Maximilian concluded his bachelor’s degree by working on the USAID Sustainable Fisheries Management project in Ghana. During his time in university, he interned for the US Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, worked for an international fish trader and held a part-time job as a research associate for the Department of Natural Resource Economics at the University of Rhode Island conducting research on risk preferences of actors within the agricultural sector.
Maximilian graduated top of his class from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. In his spare time Maximilian enjoys cooking, hiking, skiing and taking care of his aquariums.
