Lana Vali

Senior Associate

Lana has worked in climate and sustainability for almost a decade, with significant experience advising foundations and philanthropists on their climate strategies, as well as time spent working within environmental nonprofit organizations. Her topical expertise is focused on global climate mitigation, including grid modernization and renewables deployment, decarbonization of the transportation, industry, and buildings sectors, and reduction of super-pollutants. During her time at CEA, Lana has supported clients with the development of philanthropic strategies; design and implementation of targeted grantmaking; expert convening and facilitation; and the design and launch of philanthropic collaboratives. Prior to joining CEA, Lana spent about five years on the Philanthropic Advisory Services team at Energy Innovation, where she developed and implemented philanthropic strategies for the firm’s clients. Before that, Lana was Program Coordinator at Malama Kaua’i—a nonprofit focused on promoting and supporting sustainable agriculture on the island of Kaua’i.

Lana holds a B.A. in mathematics from Amherst College and was a 2022 fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute.
