James Falino is an Associate supporting the Environmental Policy & Advocacy group at CEA. James engages in regulatory proceedings related to transportation electrification, air quality, and utility resource planning as well as conducts strategic planning initiatives to support clients in the private and non-profit sectors including BNSF Railway, the Pisces Foundation, and Environmental Defense Fund.
Prior to joining CEA, James worked in New York as a Legal Assistant in the Project Development and Finance practice at Shearman & Sterling LLP, supporting the financing and restructuring of projects in energy and infrastructure. He also interned at the District Office of Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D–NY 18th District).
James graduated from Vassar College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Science, Technology, and Society. James leads groups of volunteers to plant street trees in San Francisco with Friends of the Urban Forest and was appointed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to serve on the Park, Recreation, and Open Space Advisory Committee.
