Henry Platt is passionate about advising bold climate leaders, and brings expertise in strategy and organizational effectiveness for climate funders, intermediaries and advocacy organizations.
Prior to joining CEA, Henry was a partner and co-leader of the climate practice at The Bridgespan Group, where he worked for over 12 years. He has led and advised work with such organizations as the Clean Grid Initiative, ClimateWorks Foundation, Breakthrough Energy, Environmental Defense Fund, WE ACT for Environmental Justice, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and several affiliates of the international agricultural research organization, CGIAR.
Henry also brings expertise in organizational design and operating models. He has supported numerous clients in effective decision-making, organizational structure, managing in a matrix, management forum design, and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Henry is the lead author on the 2023 article “Winning on Climate Change: How Philanthropy Can Spur Major Progress over the Next Decade”. Henry’s other co-authored articles include “Increasing Nonprofit Executive Team Effectiveness” and “Geek Cities: How Smarter Use of Data and Evidence Can Improve Lives”.
Henry is a Rhodes Scholar and Udall Scholar. He earned an AB in public policy at Princeton University and a dual master’s degrees in environmental management and international education at Oxford University.
