Cheryl Barth



Cheryl Barth joins CEA in 2016 with over 30 years of financial, operations, and human resource leadership. Cheryl has recently served as a consultant or interim leader of organizations including St. Anthony’s Foundation (Interim Finance Director); Jacaranda Health, a start- up of Kenya maternal and child health clinics (Consultant); Fuse Corps, a civic enterprise (Interim Chief Operating Officer); and Amnesty International USA (Chief Finance and Administrative Officer).

Previously she led Taproot Foundation as COO/CFO and Larkin Street Youth Services as COO. Cheryl worked extensively in health care, directing financial and decision analysis for national contracts at Kaiser Permanente, leading as CFO at Marin Community Clinic, and serving as the Founding Treasurer for Clinic by the Bay, San Francisco’s Volunteers in Medicine Clinic. Cheryl received her BA in English from the University of Southern Indiana and earned her Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.

Cheryl lives in San Francisco with her husband, an old white hen, and well used hiking boots. Many weekends she’s backpacking in the Sierras or on the coast, exploring the few places remaining out of cell phone reach.
