Aaron Saliman

Biography

Aaron is a Research Associate in the Philanthropic Services practice. His work focuses on climate change, particularly the ocean-climate nexus, renewable energy development, and food system resilience. Aaron has worked with clients including ClimateWorks Foundation, Oceankind, and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

Before joining CEA, Aaron was a policy researcher at the Brightline Defense Project, where he worked on equitable offshore wind buildout. His previous experiences include energy efficiency modelling with the California Air Resources Board and freshwater sustainability research with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

Aaron graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2022 with a double major in environmental economics & policy and society & environment. At Berkeley, he developed a passion for climate change mitigation, agroecology, and water resource management. His published research examined how ranchers in the Western U.S. are experiencing and responding to climate change.

Aaron is the proud owner of a national parks annual pass; he escapes to the Sierra Nevada whenever possible.
