CEA's History

Twenty-five years ago, California Environmental Associates opened our doors in San Francisco to work on air quality permitting and regulations. We wanted to serve companies that were active in finding ways to enhance the environment and create opportunities for sustainable growth. This approach allowed our clients to make capital investments in future innovations with a level of certainty and consistency.

From that single purpose and two people, CEA has diversified and grown to about 20 staff. We offer a wide range of consulting and program development services to companies, trade associations, foundations, and international agencies. CEA also works with numerous philanthropic organizations to incubate, staff, and manage new ventures and nonprofit organizations that advance innovative solutions to long-standing problems.
