Sydney Sanders

Sydney Sanders is a Research Associate supporting the Philanthropic Services Practice at CEA. She works on issues surrounding supply chain transparency, sustainability and strategy in the seafood space, with clients including the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions.

Prior to joining CEA, Sydney interned for the Kresge Foundation, evaluating the successes and challenges of grantees in the sustainable water resource management cohort. She also interned at two local environmental nonprofits in Detroit where she developed her communication and research skills while collaborating with Mayoral and City Council Candidates on environmental justice and urban planning issues.

Sydney holds a Bachelor’s of Arts, magna cum laude, in Environmental Studies with a Focus in Policy from Middlebury College. While at Middlebury, she co-wrote a report for state legislators on the impacts of Vermont’s proposed carbon pollution tax on its low income residents, and helped develop a rebate distribution system.  She also studied sustainable development in Copenhagen for a semester.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys skiing, hiking, and playing with her dogs.
