Molly Singer has spent her career helping small and medium-size high-tech and nonprofit organizations build sound finance and administrative operations. She has worked as both a Chief Operating Officer and a Chief Financial Officer with responsibilities spanning accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, and risk management.
Prior to joining CEA, Ms. Singer was the founding CFO of the ClimateWorks Foundation where she played an integral role starting up this new foundation. Ms. Singer’s work in the nonprofit sector also includes serving as COO and CFO for the Research Libraries Group, a division of OCLC, as COO and CFO for the Shanti Project, and as Interim Finance Director for the Global Fund for Women. Ms. Singer’s high-tech experience includes serving as a consulting CFO for Kranz and Associates where she guided early-stage start-up financial growth and advised on funding. She was also CFO for three high-tech start-ups.
She has a BA from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University. She is a member of the Finance and Audit Committees for the Global Fund for Women, San Francisco Aids Foundation, EDGE Funders Network, Bay Area Open Space Council, and she serves on the Board of CLASP, an NGO that works on appliance energy efficiency solutions.
