Mr. Votta is the Deputy Director of the Chemical Strategies Partnership (CSP) and helped found the organization in 1996. Mr. Votta is currently responsible for program development and strategic planning for CSP. Through March 2004, Mr. Votta was a Senior Research Director in the Business and Sustainability group at Tellus Institute. He managed the supply chain program and his areas of expertise include: product services system, industrial ecology, corporate environmental strategy, performance based contracting, and sustainable development. Mr. Votta has also initiated research related to extended product responsibility and the transition from product to service-based economy in the U.S. Mr. Votta has published and spoken widely on sustainable supply chain management (with a focus on chemicals and waste), industrial ecology, corporate environmental strategies and pollution prevention economics. Prior to joining Tellus, Mr. Votta held positions at Resources for the Future in Washington, DC, and Metcalf and Eddy Engineers, in Wakefield MA.

Mr. Votta has a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont and an M.S. in Environmental Management and Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a licensed professional environmental engineer in the State of Vermont.
