MITCH TOBIN [mitch@ceaconsulting.com]
Mitch Tobin is an associate supporting CEA's work in philanthropic services, program evaluation and biodiversity conservation. He also assists the non-profit Conservation and Community Investment Forum (CCIF).

Prior to joining CEA, Mr. Tobin was a newspaper reporter at the Napa Valley Register, Tucson Citizen and Arizona Daily Star, where he covered water, environmental and border issues for five years. Mr. Tobin's 2004 series on Arizona's endangered species was a finalist for the John B. Oakes Award for Distinguished Environmental Journalism and is the basis of his forthcoming book on the Endangered Species Act.

Before he became a journalist, Mr. Tobin worked as a researcher and policy analyst for economist James Tobin (no relation), the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C., the National Parks Conservation Association in Oakland, and the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California at Berkeley.

Mr. Tobin holds a bachelor's degree in Ethics, Politics and Economics from Yale College and a master's degree in political science from UC Berkeley.
