MATTHEW ELLIOTT [matthew@ceaconsulting.com]
Mr. Elliott is a Senior Associate focusing on seafood sustainability. He is also the Conservation Director for Sea Change Management LLC, a private equity firm managing the Sea Change Investment Fund, which seeks to make investments in progressive companies that promote market access to seafood from environmentally-preferable sources.

Immediately prior to joining CEA, Mr. Elliott served as a senior research associate at Redefining Progress (RP), a progressive think tank focused on sustainability. At RP, Mr. Elliot primarily worked on energy issues, serving as a lead author for a Congressional Black Caucus report on the economic and health effects of climate change. Additionally, he has worked and consulted for several groups active in ocean conservation issues, including Natural Resources Defense Council, Seaweb, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Redefining Progress, and the Pew Oceans Commission. In each of these roles, Mr. Elliott was responsible for forming recommendations on the environmental effects of different fishery and aquaculture practices.

Previously, Mr. Elliott was a researcher at Environmental Defense, assessing farmed species for the Seafood Selector database, a program that helps consumers make informed choices on sustainable seafood.

Mr. Elliott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University (summa cum laude) and a Master of Science with distinction in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University.
