Prior to joining CEA, Ms. Viggiano worked for the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program, analyzing the impacts of the fishing and aquaculture industries on marine and terrestrial biodiversity and determining US seafood supply and demand trends. Ms. Viggiano has also held positions with the Sustainable Base Reuse Institute, the Institute for Environmental Studies, the International Development Exchange and has managed conservation programs for the San Francisco Conservation Corps. In addition to her work with environmental organizations, Ms. Viggiano has conducted field research pertaining to the environment and traditional culture in Nepal, Tanzania and Mexico. Ms. Viggiano holds a B.A. with distinction in Environmental Science and Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA and a Master's degree in International Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
